Summary: Todoroki obtains a curious android who wants to experience something human.
Elements of Life
The dinging of cash registers and clattering trays were among the many sounds the Android parsed in the restaurant.
Izuku sat in the far corner of the crowded restaurant,
reserving a table for his owner.
"You found a good spot." Shouto approached Izuku soon after, setting down a tray of food on the table.
"I know you prefer the farthermost seats best," Izuku stated in a slightly tinny yet cheerful tone.
A thoughtful expression crossed Shouto's face as Shouto unwrapped the cheeseburger, paper crinkling under his fingers. "I see...thank you."
The whites of Izuku's eyes glinted. "There is no need to thank me, Shouto, I am programmed to serve your needs."
Izuku was a domestic Android, gifted to Shouto from his loving sister, Fuyumi, who worried about Shouto living alone. And having spent nearly a year with Shouto, Izuku learnt a significant portion of the man's likes and dislikes.
"That might be so." Shouto pushed a straw into his cup. "You feel quite human."
"The appearance of the One-For-All Series mimics that of the average young adult male," Izuku explained.
"Did you know the typical height of the Japanese male is around 170.7 centimetres?"
The beginnings of a smile tugged at Shouto's lips."No, I did not."
Tilting his head, Izuku wondered why Shouto found those phrases funny. They were mere facts, nothing more, nothing less; humans were such curious and unpredictable creatures at times.
Hence the Android desired to learn more about humans. How did their minds work? Just how fast could a human run? Was there a limit to the depths of their creativity? Izuku wanted to fill his memory banks with the answers to these questions.
Oblivious to the whirring of Izuku's mind, Shouto brought the burger to his lips and took a bite, mismatched brows furrowing as he chewed.
The steady thrum of Shouto's heartbeat and near inaudible sounds of pleasure streamed to Izuku's internal microphones, telling Izuku how much his owner enjoyed the burger.
And zooming in on the sandwich, Izuku wished to eat a cheeseburger, to experience the sensations that Shouto felt with each bite of the burger.
But it was an impossible wish, for Izuku was an Android, incapable of ingesting food and tasting anything.
Nevertheless, Izuku intended to scour the cooking databases for the best cheeseburger recipe. He would use it to prepare the most delicious burger for Shouto, keeping that contented look on Shouto's face.
